The first few Ewellery items have been produced on the farm using wool from our Smeafield Coloured Ryelands and will be going on sale from this Saturday. They will be making their way on to the website as soon as the photographs are produced.
I am really pleased with how they look and love working with our wool. There are already a range of designs ready for sale, but I am happy to produce bespoke individual items as per customer requirements, please just ask.
I have really put them to the test as I want to ensure that they will stand the test of time. So I have worn mine for a month and never taken it off! Its been in and out the shower, hot water, cold water, soap, shampoo, health spa, then the less glamorous – tipping sheep, drenching sheep, digging out deep litter barns, moved & stacked a tonne of hay and straw, and my other day job or picture framing & photography for www.onlyinthewild.co.uk The bracelets look as good as they did on day one of testing so I am thrilled with their quality.
Primarily they are in our lovely warm chocolate and mocha colours but I am also blending some items with a friends wool from a couple of different breeds this year. Next year we will use our own variety of colours, still primarily from the Coloured Ryelands, but also the white or black from our North Country Cheviot Flocks.
