Twinnie, obviously a twin! She was only a couple of weeks old when we agreed to buy her from Michele Varmens of the Snelson Coloured Ryeland flock, so it was quite some time for us to wait until she was old enough to wean before we could collect her.
She is a character and very bold. Even at a couple of weeks of age I was drawn to her excellent conformation. Of course things can change but as she was so correct at 2 weeks and we really liked her markings that we chose her.
Twinnie has a lovely pedigree too. Her dam is half sister to Michele’s successful ram Snelson Vineapola, and Twinnie’s other bloodlines include Amloch, Broomwell, Derwen and Dolwen.
Twinnie will be bred to one of our Smeafield rams in autumn 2018, but in the meantime we will enjoy having her around and watching her mature and we will possibly show her in 2018 show season.
